Job summary

Viridian Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Director, Field Medical Effectiveness & Training to lead the development, onboarding, and ongoing training for the Field Medical organization.

This fully remote role reports to the Senior Director and involves creating scalable training programs, conference excellence, and field readiness across global teams. The role requires a Doctorate and 8+ years in Medical Affairs, including 4+ years in training or field readiness, with travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, etc.)
• 8+ years of Medical Affairs and/or Field Medical experience
• 4+ years in Medical Science Liaison or training/field readiness leadership
• Experience with medical training, onboarding, and field readiness programs
• Experience with LMS, CRM tools, and training systems
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of Field Medical training and annual training plan
• Align training initiatives with Field Medical objectives
• Maintain scientific and therapeutic area expertise to ensure training content and conference strategy are current
• Lead ongoing training programs and assessments
• Partner with internal SMEs to deliver onboarding and certification activities
• Oversee creation, review, and maintenance of training materials and slide decks
• Own Field Medical training operating model and scheduling of programs
• Oversee end-to-end training workflows including vendor management
• Create metrics to evaluate training effectiveness
• Drive conference planning and governance for medical congresses
• Lead Field Medical effectiveness initiatives and strategic partnerships
• Ensure governance for compliance and regulatory requirements
