Qualifications

  • Masters’s Degree (or equivalent) in Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Capital Management, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate learning, performance, consultation, or similar role, including 3+ years in leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills and superior communication skills with the ability to influence
  • Knowledge of change leadership, systems thinking, and integration
  • Advanced knowledge of Talent Management, Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, and Modern Learning Experience Tools and Methodologies

  • Influence cross-functional initiatives connecting learning, talent, and business priorities.
  • Establish governance and measurement frameworks for sustained performance improvement

What You\'ll Do

The Director in Field Learning leads a team and is accountable for the strategy, design, and execution of learning experiences for a significant portfolio of work that accelerate advisor, branch team, and firm performance. This role aligns learning and capability development with business priorities, translating organizational goals into scalable solutions that drive measurable behavior change, performance improvement, and business growth. The Director partners across Field Learning and related functions to prioritize investments, shape multi-year learning roadmaps, and deliver integrated programs that build critical capabilities at speed and scale. Through direct and matrix leadership, this role develops talent, influences stakeholders, and ensures learning initiatives create meaningful and sustainable business impact.

  • Define and execute a multi-year Field Learning strategy that aligns capability development with business priorities and performance outcomes.
  • Lead a portfolio of scalable learning and performance strategies/programs that drive measurable behavior change, skill development, and business results through an integrated experience across advisor-facing audiences.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to identify capability needs, establish priorities, and translate strategic objectives into learning investments and delivery plans.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams through direct and matrix leadership, building organizational capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous growth.
  • Drive strategic prioritization, resource allocation, and roadmap planning to ensure learning initiatives deliver maximum business value and impact.
  • Provide direction and clearing for senior associate leads as they oversee the design, implementation, and measurement of integrated learning experiences, ensuring quality, consistency, scalability, and adoption.
  • Use business data, performance metrics, workforce insights, and market trends to inform decisions, optimize learning strategies, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Apply expertise in advisor and branch team effectiveness, industry best practices, and performance enablement approaches to continuously evolve learning solutions.
  • Influence and lead cross-functional initiatives that connect learning, talent, and business priorities into cohesive capability-building strategies.
  • Establish accountability, governance, and measurement frameworks that ensure learning programs deliver sustained performance improvement and organizational value.

What Experience You\'ll Need

Masters’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Capital Management, or related field

7+ years of experience corporate learning, performance, consultation, or similar role 3 of which must be in a leadership role, including:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Superior communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to influence directly and indirectly
  • Knowledge of change leadership, systems thinking, and integration
  • Develop an understanding of the impacts changing industry standards may have on the firm as it relates to branch support
  • Advanced knowledge of Talent Management, Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, and Modern Learning Experience Tools and Methodologies

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.

People Leaders are expected to maintain strong leadership visibility, collaboration, and connection across the firm. For People Leaders who choose to reside outside a commutable distance from a campus location, the role requires regular travel to support these expectations. This role will require presence at a home office campus, or other firm‑related travel, for one full week per month. Note: For travel purposes, a “full week” is defined as a minimum of four consecutive days on campus.
