Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Hospital Heart Institute in Miami seeks a Pediatric Cardiologist with expertise in fetal imaging to lead our fetal cardiology program. The Director will oversee clinical care, education and program development for fetal echocardiography and advanced cardiac imaging.

The role requires leadership within a multidisciplinary team, a strong track record in pediatric echocardiography, and dedication to compassionate, evidence-based care for congenital and fetal heart disease.

Qualifications

• MD degree with at least three years of fellowship in pediatric cardiology and an additional year of training in advanced congenital cardiac imaging and fetal echocardiography.
• Five+ years of pediatric echocardiography experience focusing on fetal cardiology imaging and management.
• Experience developing a fetal cardiology program; academic activity in fetal medicine preferred.
• Unrestricted medical license and ABMS board certification in pediatric cardiology.
• Florida license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Collegial, collaborative leader with a track record of fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop outreach fetal screening opportunities with a growing neonatal/MFM network.
• Provide inpatient care with transthoracic and transesophageal echo opportunities.
• Conduct outpatient clinics at main campus and satellite locations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance fetal cardiology care.
• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement within The Heart Institute.
• Mentor and support staff, fellows and medical students, upholding clinical excellence in Pediatric and Fetal Cardiology.
• Coordinate community outreach with MFMs and OBs in the local area.
• Maintain a positive workplace culture that empowers staff and influences decision making.
