Job summary

Berea College invites applications for the Director of Farm Enterprises, overseeing Livestock & Horticulture Operations and Farm Store. Reporting to the Provost, the director leads strategic direction, financial performance, and regulatory compliance while mentoring students in Berea’s Work College Program.

You will collaborate with ANR faculty, build long-range plans, and serve as primary representative to external partners, donors, and the campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5-7 years' diversified farm management experience.
• At least 3+ years supervising across multiple agricultural or business functions.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture and farm operations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Livestock & Horticulture Operations and Farm Store.
• Develop and oversee operating budget and financial performance.
• Serve as primary external representative and advance College partnerships.
• Mentor students within Berea's Work College Program.
• Collaborate with ANR faculty to align with academic mission.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and risk management.
