Job summary

Lenawee Intermediate School District seeks a facilities leader to guide construction, renovation, and maintenance projects ensuring a safe and healthy environment for learning. Lead custodial and maintenance teams and uphold regulatory compliance across the district.

The role requires an associate degree related to facilities management, MSBO certification or ability to obtain within two years, and substantial supervisory experience, plus strong communication and technical skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree related to Facilities Management (or other equivalent qualification/certification).
• MSBO Certification as a Facilities Director or able to obtain within two years of hire.
• Ten (10) Years of Successful Work in Related Field.
• Five (5) years of Supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated computer and Technical Experience.
• Effective Written and Oral Communication Skills.
• Effective Human Relations Skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage LISD facility construction, renovation, and maintenance projects to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
• Provide effective leadership and direction to custodial and maintenance staff.
• Ensure district compliance with all regulatory agencies and a safe, conducive teaching/learning environment.

Provide effective leadership and direction to custodial and maintenance staff to ensure district compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and a safe, conducive teaching/learning environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required:
Associate’s Degree related to Facilities Management (or other equivalent
qualification/certification)
MSBO Certification as a Facilities Director or able to obtain within two years of hire
Ten (10) Years of Successful Work in Related Field
Five (5) years of Supervisory experience
Demonstrated computer and Technical Experience

Experience in Total Quality Management Administration

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) State Certification
Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Certification – State/Federal
Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Level S-5 Certified
Operator for Type II Drinking Water System
