The Team You’ll Join

You’ll join a high‑performing sales organization focused on driving adoption of Envestnet’s Managed Accounts platform across Regional and National Accounts. This team plays a critical role in generating pipeline, supporting revenue growth, and strengthening advisor engagement.

As Director, FA Sales, you will lead a team of Business Development Associates responsible for prospecting, campaign execution, and delivering qualified opportunities. You’ll partner closely with sales leadership and cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment centered on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

How You’ll Contribute

The Director, FA Sales is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Business Development Associates to drive campaign outreach, engagement, and adoption of Envestnet’s Managed Accounts platform across Regional and National Accounts verticals.

This role plays a critical leadership function in shaping campaign and sales execution, elevating team performance, and ensuring alignment with Regional and National Accounts sales strategy. The Director partners closely with senior sales leadership to deliver consistent, qualified leads and measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of ~8 Business Development Associates to strengthen sales acumen, product expertise, and consultative engagement skills.
  • Provide structured coaching through regular 1:1s, call reviews, and in‑field development to elevate individual and team performance.
  • Build and execute individualized development plans, succession planning, and talent strategies.
  • Foster a high‑performance, inclusive culture centered on accountability, execution, and growth.
  • Drive execution of territory coverage plans aligned to Regional and National Accounts strategy in partnership with sales leaders, Regional Directors, and Regional Consultants.
  • Ensure consistent, high‑quality prospecting and lead generation that supports Managed Account adoption and sales growth.
  • Inspect and manage team performance against key metrics including activity, pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue contribution.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement targeted coaching and action plans to improve results.
  • Partner closely with Senior Account Executives, Regional and National Accounts leadership to align on priorities, coverage, and campaign management.
  • Serve as a key connector across sales, marketing, product, and training teams to ensure coordinated execution.
  • Support strategic initiatives, campaigns, and events that drive advisor engagement and platform growth.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in CRM usage, campaign management, and sales discipline.
  • Analyze team performance data to generate insights and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective follow‑up on leads, campaigns, referrals, and advisor interactions.
  • Ensure team maintains deep knowledge of Envestnet’s Managed Accounts platform and PMC investment solutions, including direct indexing, tax overlay, and strategist offerings.
  • Monitor industry trends, advisor needs, and competitive dynamics; translate insights into actionable strategies and coaching priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Champion Envestnet’s values and drive strong team engagement through communication, recognition, and leadership visibility.
  • Adhere to and apply Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity, and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
What You’ll Need to Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of financial services experience, preferably in advisory platform, asset management, or distribution leadership.
  • 2–3+ years of people leadership experience managing sales or client‑facing teams.
  • Proven track record of coaching and developing talent to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Understanding of the advisory business model, portfolio construction, and practice management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching capabilities.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15% for field engagement and team development.
