Role: Lead exploratory research initiatives to deepen understanding of disease biology and inform pipeline development for rare neuroendocrine diseases.
Responsibilities: design, oversee, and interpret mechanistic and translational in vitro and in vivo studies; identify and evaluate emerging scientific opportunities; develop innovative hypotheses, assays, and models; integrate multidisciplinary data to guide strategic decisions; manage external collaborations with CROs, academic partners, and experts; communicate findings to senior leadership and ensure scientific rigor in a fully outsourced research model.
Requirements: PhD in neuroscience, endocrinology, pharmacology, or related field; 10+ years of relevant biotech or pharma R&D experience, including 5+ years leading independent research; expertise in neuroendocrine biology, metabolic or CNS-peripheral signaling pathways; proficiency in small molecule and peptide pharmacology; strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
