Job description

Position: Director of ERP Operations

The North Carolina Community College System Office seeks a Director of ERP Operations to join their Information Technology Team. This strategic leadership role is responsible for the enterprise resource planning technology solutions operated, maintained, and supported by the System Office. These solutions provide business automation for the System Office, the 58 North Carolina Community Colleges, federal, state, and local partners, and over 500,000 students, staff, and faculty.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team of application developers, cybersecurity experts, and innovative higher education leaders focused on transforming service delivery using advanced, modern technologies from leading vendors in the higher education space.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage cloud-based enterprise resource planning software.
  2. Oversee systems integrations and application program interfaces.
  3. Apply knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  4. Lead scripting and programming initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cloud-based ERP software.
  • Experience with systems integrations and APIs.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Scripting and programming skills.
Management Preferences:
  • Experience with Agile methodology; familiarity with Ellucian Colleague, Banner, System Administrator (SA) Valet, and/or Datatel Messaging Interface (DMI).
  • Knowledge of industry platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Apache, ServiceNow, and Salesforce.
  • Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux, Python, PowerShell, C#, JSON, and/or ASP.NET.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with four years of experience, or an associate degree with five years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
