Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 24 semester hours in environmental health, biological or physical science or registration as Kentucky Environmental Specialist/Sanitarian under KRS 223.
• Five (5) years of experience in environmental field with at least one (1) year in administrative or supervisory capacity.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must pursue credentials outlined and maintain them as long as employed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize and direct a comprehensive environmental health program.
• Prepare administrative rules, regulations and policies related to environmental health; monitor program utilization and efficiency.
• Evaluate performance, provide guidance to subordinates, and initiate disciplinary actions when appropriate.

Education

Bachelor's degree with 24 sem hrs in environmental health or related science; or registration as Kentucky Environmental Specialist/Sanitarian
