Job Description

The Director of Entertainment & Programming oversees the development and execution of engaging activities and events tailored to residents' needs and preferences. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing a team of programming professionals, and forming partnerships with external organizations. The ideal candidate will bring creativity and strategic planning skills to design innovative programs that enhance resident satisfaction and community involvement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provides strategic direction for adult-centric, relevant, and purposeful programming addressing Physical, Social, Spiritual, Emotional, Cognitive, and Leisure needs.
• Determines resident preferences, talents, and needs; tracks participation; adjusts programs accordingly; evaluates program quality and content.
• Stays updated on active aging and generational trends to enhance programming.
• Develops signature programs and events to enrich residents' living experience.
• Encourages resident engagement through positive relationships and personalized interactions.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Experience in planning and implementing activities and events preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
• Valid state Driver’s License Class E (Chauffeur's License) and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
• Knowledge of aging and disability issues is a plus.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
