This individual will also support assessment of emerging opportunities that position Mount Sinai for continued growth in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. The Director will help drive strategies and assess opportunities by creating frameworks, conducting analysis, conferring with key stakeholders, and creating high-quality, executive-level materials.

Responsibilities
  • Support development and refinement of enterprise-wide strategic plans, ensuring alignment with Mount Sinai’s mission, values, and business objectives across clinical, research, and educational activities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across financial, clinical, research, education, and operational teams to identify and evaluate new strategic opportunities, emerging trends, and strategic relationships.
  • Conduct analyses, including environmental scans, market analyses, competitor analysis and scenario planning to inform strategic decision-making. Leverage market intelligence, data analytics, demand forecasting, and scenario modeling to support analysis.
  • Synthesize findings into clear, compelling executive-level narratives and recommendations.
  • Present recommendations to key stakeholders and leaders to help inform decision-making for multi-year strategic investments.
  • Work with the appropriate stakeholders to translate system strategic priorities into actionable initiatives with measurable performance metrics.
  • Serve as a thought partner to members of the enterprise strategy team.
  • Support preparation of executive‑level reports, board materials, and presentations summarizing strategic progress, including measurements of success/business outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Masters degree preferred (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related).
  • Experience: At least 5 years of work experience, the majority of which should be in enterprise strategy, strategic planning, or related fields with large, complex healthcare organizations or academic medical centers. Demonstrated success in leading and executing market assessments, competitive analysis, and business case development in healthcare. Experience working in or with academic health systems is preferred. Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills, with expertise in market assessment and data-driven decision making. Proficiency in SQL or Python. Knowledge of healthcare claims data is preferred. Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communications, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to influence at all levels and build trusted relationships with senior executives, faculty leaders, and external partners.

The salary range for the role is $117,000.00 - $208,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
