Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Director, Enterprise Risk Management to lead the design, execution, and ongoing improvement of the organization's ERM framework. You will partner with executive leaders and governance bodies to embed risk-based thinking into strategic planning, operations, and capital decisions, while directing ORSA processes, risk assessments, and risk reporting to the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance or business administration
• 10 years experience in risk management and consulting or public accounting
• 5 years leadership experience
• CRM, CRMA, ARM or CPA
• In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in related field

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of enterprise risk management to achieve objectives.
• Promote organization-wide understanding of enterprise risks and risk management strategies.
• Lead the ORSA process, including enterprise risk assessment, stress testing, and ORSA report.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership, risk committees, and the Board.
• Coordinate with management to develop practical and actionable business solutions in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Monitor risk appetite metrics, key risk indicators, and emerging risks; report to Board.
• Coordinate periodic reviews of risk appetite statements, policies, and governing practices.
• Monitor regulatory, industry, and healthcare trends to identify potential impacts.
• Promote a strong risk culture through education, communication, and consultation across the enterprise.
• Lead the corporate insurance and captive management programs to manage insurance risks.
