Job summary

PIP Global Safety is seeking a Director of ERP with deep SAP expertise to lead strategy, implementation, and ongoing management of SAP ERP systems across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years ERP management experience, with 7+ years in SAP.
• Proven success leading large SAP implementations incl. ECC6 and S/4HANA migrations.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or similar environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute an enterprise ERP strategy, focusing on SAP solutions that support business objectives.
• Lead planning, budgeting, execution, and governance for SAP projects including upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
• Assess and optimize SAP capabilities (S/4HANA, FICO, MM, SD, PP) for performance and usability.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing ERP team of SAP specialists, developers, analysts, and support staff.
• Serve as the primary liaison among IT, business functions, and external partners for SAP initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to SAP implementations and operations.
• Maintain 24x7 SAP system availability and ensure regulatory compliance.

The Director, ERP, specializing in SAP, leads the strategy, implementation, and ongoing management of SAP ERP systems across the organization. This role requires deep SAP expertise, strong leadership, and a proven ability to deliver ERP initiatives in a fast-pace, growing environment. The position is critical to optimizing business processes, advancing digital transformation, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute an enterprise ERP strategy, with emphasis on SAP solutions that support business objectives.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digital innovation.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure ERP performance, business value, and alignment with organizational priorities.

Project Management

• Lead planning, budgeting, execution, and governance for SAP projects, including upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
• Direct cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

System Optimization

• Assess and improve SAP capabilities, including SAP S/4HANA, FICO, MM, SD, and PP, to enhance performance and user experience.
• Ensure SAP solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations.

Team Leadership

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing ERP team, including SAP specialists, developers, analysts, and support resources.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary liaison among IT, business functions, and external partners for SAP-related initiatives.
• Provide executive leadership with clear updates on ERP performance, project status, risks, and mitigation plans.

Risk Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to SAP implementations, integrations, and ongoing operations.
• Maintain data integrity, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and adherence to organizational policies.

Operations Management

• Implement testing, quality assurance, and change management practices to protect the integrity of the SAP landscape.
• Maintain reliable 24x7 operational availability of SAP systems and related business-critical services.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

• Strong expertise across SAP modules, including FICO, MM, SD, PP, and WMS.
