Job summary

Vertex is hiring an experienced engineering leader to build and operate the enterprise Knowledge Graph and semantic layer, unifying Vertex's data across clinical, research, regulatory, and commercial domains. The Director will define strategy, select technology, and lead a team delivering a traversable model for AI agents and analytics.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML, or advanced analytics with focus on knowledge graphs and semantic technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate Vertex's enterprise knowledge graph across clinical, research, regulatory, and commercial domains.
Define the vertex's strategy for graph and semantic platform, including technology selection and architecture.
Partner with ontology and data modeling teams to translate domain ontologies into the graph.
Lead graph traversal and retrieval interfaces for AI agents and analytics.
