Director, Enterprise AI Transformation will drive Relativity’s enterprise-wide AI strategy from concept to execution. Working in close partnership with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, this role orchestrates AI transformation initiatives, ensures robust governance and best practice adoption, and champions measurable business impact across all business units.

Director, Enterprise AI Transformation will formally report program progress, risks, and outcomes to the executive leadership team, while managing day-to-day coordination and execution independently.

The role directly reports to the VP, Information Technology and will maintain frequent, transparent engagement and communication with the executive team, providing program updates, escalations, and strategic recommendations.

Ideal candidates will be based in the Chicago area; however, remote candidates will be considered. This role may require travel based upon business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership & Execution: Lead the execution of Relativity’s AI transformation roadmap, ensuring prioritized AI use cases are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary orchestrator across IT, Legal, Security, HR, Finance, and business units—aligning efforts, resolving conflicts, and removing barriers to AI adoption and deployment.
  • Enable Experimentation: Build a structured framework for business teams to propose, prototype, and scale AI use cases responsibly.
  • Help Define and Implement Standards: Partner with Applied Scientists to bring industry best practices around model development, data usage, MLOps, ethical AI, and compliance.
  • AI Governance Stewardship: As a member of the IT organization, work closely with other IT teams and partner with Legal and Security to coordinate, implement, and continuously improve AI governance frameworks, standards, and controls to ensure responsible, secure, and compliant AI deployment.
  • Enterprise Architecture Awareness: Partner with data, technology, and business architecture teams to integrate AI into enterprise platforms and ensure future-ready system design.
  • AI & Data Literacy Advocacy: Drive enterprise AI and data literacy by supporting learning programs, hands-on enablement, and ongoing communication—demystifying AI and building broad-based organizational fluency.
  • Transformation & Change Management: Champion transformation by leading change management, business process redesign, and role evolution to unlock sustained value from AI.
  • Impact Measurement & Reporting: Establish KPIs and dashboards to track AI adoption, risk, and business outcomes. Provide regular, transparent reporting to executive leadership and escalate critical risks or dependencies as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of experimentation, feedback, and rapid learning—updating the transformation strategy based on outcomes, sentiment, and new opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years in technology, program management, transformation, or business leadership roles
  • AI & Data Literacy: Strong foundation in AI/ML concepts, data management, and the practical application of AI in the enterprise.
  • Enterprise Business & Systems Architecture Awareness: Broad understanding of business processes and technology architectures, with an ability to bridge business and technical domains.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and align diverse teams and stakeholders, often without formal authority.
  • Transformation Experience: Hands-on experience driving digital or AI-enabled transformation, including change management, business process optimization, and cultural change.
  • Governance & Policy Development: Experience designing and operationalizing governance and compliance frameworks for emerging technologies.
  • Communication & Executive Presence: Skilled in communicating complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences, and in delivering concise, actionable updates to senior leadership. Ability to influence and build trust at all levels, including with board, ELT, and business/technical teams, even without direct reporting authority.
  • Agility and Results Orientation: Comfort with ambiguity, proactive problem-solving, and a strong track record of delivering results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related field
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, AI/ML frameworks, and data protection
  • Experience in regulated or SaaS/enterprise software environments a plus
