The Vertex Companies LLC is seeking a Director of Artificial Intelligence to lead the enterprise delivery of AI solutions. This hands-on leadership role defines the AI strategy, establishes standards, and drives secure, production‑grade AI across the organization.

You will design AI solutions, build scaling data pipelines, and lead teams and partners to deliver measurable business impact in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with extensive architecture experience and enterprise apps.
• 5+ years delivering AI/ML, data, or advanced analytics solutions.
• Production deployment of AI use cases with measurable business outcomes.
• Experience integrating multiple platforms and building data pipelines.

Aufgaben

• Own the AI execution roadmap end-to-end.
• Develop reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards.
• Design data pipelines and retrieval layers for AI (RAG, embedding, vectorisation).
• Lead solutions across foundation models, vector stores, APIs and orchestration.
• Oversee prompt engineering, grounding, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Establish and mature the AI delivery process (MLOps / LLMOps).
• Own end‑to‑end lifecycle of AI use cases from prototype to production.
• Communicate status and deliverables to stakeholders.
• Build, mentor and lead a global AI engineering team.
• Manage vendors and partners delivering AI work.
