Job summary

Huntress Labs, a remote-first cybersecurity company, seeks an experienced engineering leader to elevate platform teams and deliver a scalable foundation for multiple security products powering the business. You will lead high-performing engineers across the product platform, AI tooling, and site reliability initiatives to accelerate our next growth phase.

You will recruit and mentor engineering managers, drive the technical roadmap, and partner with Architecture, Product Management, and Threat

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering leadership in SaaS environments.
• 5+ years at director level or higher.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI development tools.
• Experience in scalable delivery, site reliability engineering, and developer experience.
• Experience developing, evolving, and maintaining high-volume, scalable solutions.
• Deep understanding of organizing engineering teams to deliver customer value iteratively.
• Skilled at hiring, building teams, leading, and coaching managers, and performance management.
• Demonstrated success collaborating with architecture and product management to develop a shared vision.
• Experience in a fully remote environment.

Location: Remote US

Compensation: $240,000 to $300,000 base with bonus and equity

What You’ll Do:

Huntress seeks an experienced leader to elevate our platform engineering teams and deliver the underlying foundation for purpose-built products that protect the 99%. In this role, you’ll be responsible for teams that develop our product platform, which powers our 5 (soon to be 6 and beyond) industry-leading security products. We’re seeking a passionate, inclusive engineering leader who can bring state-of-the-art engineering practices and deep experience in developing teams and people to accelerate our next growth phase. You will lead multiple teams of high-performing engineers, equipped with the latest AI tooling.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver performant, scalable products iteratively, helping your teams balance incremental customer value delivery with long-term product evolution
• Drive the technical roadmap and best practices for our product platform to enable scalability that will accommodate rapid growth and increased user demand
• Innovate new uses for AI development tooling and tune current use to be more efficient over time
• Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent
• Hire and coach engineering managers to continue to build and enable great teams
• Set clear expectations with your leaders, provide regular feedback, and conduct regular performance conversations to foster a high-performing engineering team
• Clearly measure engineering performance to make necessary adjustments to team structure and/or processes to increase throughput and efficiencyIdentify opportunities and implement improvements to both the product and engineering practices and processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and time-to-market
• Partner with other engineering leaders, product leaders, and architects to ensure our teams and technology are in sync and meet customer needs
• Collaborate with Huntress’s Architecture, Product Management, and Threat Operations teams to integrate their expertise and needs into our products

What You Bring To The Team:

• 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership building SaaS products in a modern SaaS environment
• 5+ years of experience at the director level or higher
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI development tools
• Experience and knowledge of best practices for scalable delivery, core platform systems, site reliability engineering, and developer experience
• Experience developing, evolving, and maintaining high-volume, scalable solutions
• Deep understanding of organizing engineering teams to deliver customer value iteratively
• Skilled at hiring, building teams, leading, and coaching managers, and performance management
• Demonstrated success working with architecture and product management leaders to develop and execute a shared product and technical vision
• Experience in a fully remote environment
