Job summary

Google is seeking a Director of Camera Display Algorithms & Systems to provide strategic leadership for market‑leading camera imaging, ML, CV, and display processing across Google SoC products.

You will mentor a high‑performance team, collaborate with research, software and hardware engineers to invent complex algorithms, specify system‑level architectures, and ensure performance, power, and area efficiency in future products.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in CS or EE or equivalent practical experience
  • 15 years of experience in multimedia algorithm and systems space
  • Experience in ISP, image processing, computational photography, computer vision and machine learning

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team responsible for developing market‑leading algorithms and systems in camera imaging, ISPs, ML, computer vision and display processing.
  • Invent and develop complex algorithms for quality, develop architectural C‑models, and specify system level architectures for products.
  • Collaborate with Google research teams, drive innovations, and bring state of the art algorithms into silicon; guide your team in making technical trade‑offs in selecting algorithms and ML models.
  • Work with camera, video and display software teams to co‑design leading user experiences; develop IPs focusing on performance, power and area to ensure high quality IP development.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Design Verification, and Software Engineering to ensure seamless silicon implementation and end‑to‑end productization; evaluate video and image quality end‑to‑end at system level with models and prototypes.

  • Experience in developing algorithms and architecture that have gone through the rigors of multiple smartphone SoC development and productization cycles.
  • Proven track record in managing high performance teams and delivering algorithms for silicon.
  • Proven track record in managing high performance teams and delivering algorithms for silicon.
  • Deep technical expertise in ISP, image processing, computational photography, computer vision, machine learning and generative AI.

US: $281000 - $391000 (USD) + 30% bonus target + equity + benefits
