Job summary

Jobgether SRL, listed here on behalf of a partner, seeks a Director of Engineering in a remote-first, worldwide context. You will lead multiple software teams spanning platform services, AI, and financial technology, shaping architecture, delivery practices, and engineering culture across Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

This is a hands-on leadership role with strategic responsibility for AI adoption, agentic development, CI/CD, and DevOps.

Qualifications

• 10 years of progressive software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in senior engineering leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading remote-first, multicultural engineering teams across multiple time zones and geographic regions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, AI/ML pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM or agent frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or DSPy.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, including Bedrock, ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices, including agentic SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and Developer Experience (DevEx).
• Strong understanding of APIs, including REST and SOAP, data modeling, systems integration, and scalable software architecture.
• Experience collaborating effectively with Product and engineering teams across multiple geographies.
• Experience in fintech, billing, reporting, or ERP systems is valuable; Oracle NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and tradeoffs clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, budgets, resources, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop diverse software engineering teams across the Americas and EMEA, fostering innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive the evolution of software delivery through agentic software development, Spec-Driven Development, AI Software Factory practices, and modern AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership across EMEA and APAC to maintain alignment on technical vision, priorities, architecture, and delivery.
• Oversee the architecture, development, and deployment of platform and AI services supporting multiple products, with hands-on technical leadership across Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, agentic workflows, LLM and agent frameworks, AI/ML pipelines, and AWS services.
• Provide architectural and technical oversight through code reviews, architecture reviews, engineering standards, and technical mentorship.
• Ensure high-quality, timely software delivery through effective planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and project management.
• Partner with Product, Professional Services, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Work with product teams across global regions to align product strategy, engineering execution, and delivery priorities.
• Act as a senior technical point of contact for strategic customer relationships in the region, supporting customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
• Champion CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, AI-powered development, technical debt reduction, and foundational architecture improvements.
• Establish and use engineering metrics and insights to improve velocity, quality, prioritization, and operational effectiveness.

This is a senior engineering leadership opportunity focused on scaling high-performing teams across a global, remote-first environment. You'll oversee multiple engineering teams spanning platform services, AI, and core financial technology products while partnering with teams across EMEA and APAC. The role combines strategic leadership with strong technical involvement, giving you the opportunity to shape engineering culture, AI adoption, architecture, and delivery practices. Benefits

• Base salary range of $190,000--$250,000, plus bonus and equity.
