KBR is seeking a Director of Explosives Manufacturing to oversee energetics plant scale-up and lead the execution of large defense programs producing HMX, RDX, and other energetics. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk while interfacing with customers and stakeholders to meet contractual and regulatory requirements.

This senior role offers leadership over integrated program teams, alignment with IBP/QBR forecasts, and significant operational and financial impact across multiple sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of experience managing energetic explosives manufacturing facilities/plants (Construction and/or Production Operations).
• Experience managing rolling 12-18 month production schedules for pricing new business and forecasts.
• RBA process for existing products, firm, follow-on.
• Experience managing large, complex programs within the defense or government contracting environment.
• Budgets, schedules, and risk management experience.
• Knowledge of defense regulations (ITAR, DFARS, FAR).
• CAM or EVMS experience.
• Manufacturing with understanding of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing.
• Experience leading cross-functional, matrixed teams.
• HMX and/or RDX production operations experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs from initiation through completion.
• Manage program scope, schedule, budget, and risk to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for program communications with customers and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed program plans, milestones, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with R&D to ensure business cases for new product development.
• Develop shop floor metrics and goals aligned with forecasts.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain.
• Oversee program financial performance including budgeting and cost control.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Prepare and deliver program status reports and executive briefings.
• Support proposal development, capture activities, and long-range growth strategies.
