Job summary

Best Buddies International in Boston seeks a Director for the Best Buddies Challenge: New York to lead regional development, fundraising, sales, and recruitment initiatives. The role recruits and manages sponsors, builds ride teams, and tracks revenue and commitments.

You will partner with the VP Cycling, oversee in‑market sponsorships, manage CRM records, and guide team growth. A bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years in development are required; willingness to work evenings/weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years’ experience in development, fundraising, and recruitment marketing.
• Non-profit or endurance event experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead high-impact fundraising and participant engagement initiatives.
• Experience building a sales pipeline and meeting targets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional contact for top donors, sponsors, and fundraising teams.
• Collaborate with VP Cycling to align execution with strategic objectives for growth and event success.
• Provide insights to inform recruitment, community engagement, and planning.
• Lead in-market sponsorship needs and coordinate sponsor/corporate meetings.
