Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson is seeking a Director of Emergency and Trauma Services to lead clinical teams and translate high-level strategy into safe, high-quality patient care.

You will oversee ER, Trauma, and Stroke programs, manage APP scheduling and staffing, and drive performance improvement while modeling the organization’s mission and values. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing required at hire.
• 1-3 years Emergency Room, Trauma, or related RN experience.
• BLS-CPR within 30 days of start.
• ACLS within 12 months of start.
• TNCC within 12 months of start.
• PALS within 12 months of start.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to implement strategies for the Emergency and Trauma service line, ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and engagement goals.
• Clinical & Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations for ER, Trauma, and Stroke programs, including APP scheduling and staffing optimization.
• Performance & Talent Development: Drive patient satisfaction and staff performance through mentoring and competency tools.
• Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement with root cause analyses and evidence-based solutions.
• Cultural Stewardship: Model the organization’s values and maintain high professional standards.
