Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. seeks a Program Director for Emergency Response & Life Support Education. You will oversee the American Heart Association training portfolio, directing ACLS, BLS, and Heartsaver programs and serving as the AHA Training Site Coordinator.

You will lead staff, develop schedules and budgets, and drive improvements in emergency clinical response and patient outcomes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in a relevant field.
• RN license required.
• ACLS/BLS certification (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all AHA training programs, ensuring compliance with AHA standards and requirements.
• Develop class schedules, staffing models, recruitment plans, and resource allocation strategies.
• Hire, coach, evaluate, and support program staff while promoting operational efficiency and excellence.
• Manage annual program budgets, course revenue, and purchasing of supplies and equipment.
• Continuously evaluate and improve program effectiveness to meet internal and external needs.
• Champion innovation and lead change initiatives that enhance emergency response education and performance.
• Direct daily operations and supervise a team of educators and support staff.
• Lead projects focused on improving clinical emergency preparedness and response across the medical center.
