Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Director of Education Development and Special Projects to drive strategic education initiatives across the organization. You will partner with the Vice President of Team Health to design programs, implement curricula, and oversee accreditation, grants, and research activities.

You will lead process improvements, manage complex projects, and mentor teams to sustain high quality education delivery in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, science, biology or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in education and program/curriculum design.
  • Minimum of 3 years management/leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with regulatory standards and compliance (e.g., OSHA, NJDOHSS, CDC, TJC, etc.).
  • Project management, process improvement and strategic planning experience.
  • Data management, analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Education Development and Special Projects aligned with TH's strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with Vice President of Team Health to implement development planning.
  • Lead initiatives in education, certification, accreditation, grants, research, residencies, engagement, and awards.
  • Manage process improvement and integration across programs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards.

The Director of Education Development and Special Projects, with oversight of the Vice President of Team Health (TH), is a central part of TH's management team that works collaboratively to implement strategic and development planning and also works independently to create and oversee the implementation of an integrated approach to process improvement, education, certification, accreditation, grants, research, residencies, engagement, and awards.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, science, biology or other related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in education and program/curriculum design.
  • Minimum of 3 years management/leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with regulatory standards and compliance (e.g., OSHA, NJDOHSS, CDC, TJC, etc.).

Licenses and Certifications Required:
  • RN NJ state licensure, if applicable.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP).
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • CHSP.
  • COHN-S (if RN).
