Job summary

The Executive Director of Economic Mobility and Workforce Innovation at BlueSteps Connect will provide strategic leadership for career-connected learning and workforce alignment. Reporting to the President, this role advances the EMWI division’s innovation agenda, fosters cross-sector partnerships, and ensures the organization remains responsive to evolving regional and industry workforce needs.

It leads the design and growth of non-credit workforce programs and credit-bearing microcredentials

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in workforce development and/or higher education.
• Experience building and sustaining employer partnerships to align curricula with industry needs.
• Experience in data-informed decision making and program evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain employer partnerships that inform curriculum and work-based learning.
• Lead scalable workforce programs and career readiness efforts aligned to industry needs.
• Identify and monitor performance indicators for enrollment, credentials, employment outcomes, and partnerships.
• Support grant opportunities and proposals with the Grants Office; use data to improve access and completion for targeted populations.
