Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Adams School of Dentistry seeks a Director of Stewardship & Development Content to lead the School's donor stewardship and development-content strategy. You will guide annual, major, and planned gift stewardship and craft compelling donor communications.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will collaborate with development officers, Alumni Affairs, University Development, faculty and leadership to translate academic and clinical

Qualifications

• Experience in development, advancement, donor relations, stewardship, fundraising, or closely related field.
• Knowledge of advancement practices including donor stewardship, recognition, engagement, impact reporting.
• Ability to independently develop and manage donor stewardship programs.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and editorial judgment.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building across offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive donor stewardship program for annual, major, principal, and planned gifts.
• Develop donor recognition, impact reporting, and stewardship activities.
• Create donor-facing content, stories, proposals, and materials.
• Collaborate with Development colleagues, faculty, students, and alumni.
• Oversee content operations, budgets, timelines, and external vendors.
