Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1-2 years of experience coaching swimming and diving, preferably at the collegiate level.
• Commitment to supporting the academic success, personal development, and well-being of student-athletes.
• Ability to cultivate a team culture rooted in fairness, honesty, respect, and sportsmanship, consistent with NCAA and institutional values.
• Genuine passion for swimming and diving, and for mentoring student-athletes in and out of the pool.
• Outstanding interpersonal, leadership and relationship-building skills, with strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to competitive excellence while upholding integrity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the swimming and diving program with effective communication and planning.
• Recruit quality student-athletes to meet enrollment goals; evaluate talent and coordinate visits.
• Determine athletic scholarship allocation within policy guidance.
• Organize and conduct team practices and individual skill sessions.
• Prepare student-athletes and the team for competition.
• Build a competitive NCAA Division I schedule and manage it with oversight.
• Manage the budget responsibly as approved by administration.
• Develop revenue through camps/clinics and alumni engagement.
• Collaborate with Athletics leadership on growth initiatives and facility use.
• Possibly oversee men's program in the future and support student-athlete well-being and academics.
• Promote NCAA compliance and participate in department activities.
