This role requires poise, professionalism, tenacity, and persistence—balancing long-term partnership building with a clear expectation of results.

The Director works closely with the President on high-level donor engagement and serves as the Foundation’s primary development leader, guiding an external grant agency and collaborating across the organization to ensure strong cases for support, disciplined follow-through, and measurable outcomes.

  • Actively participate in funder strategy, cultivation, and stewardship conversations
  • Coordinate internally to ensure proposals and reports clearly connect funding to programs and outcomes
  • Ensure disciplined follow-through on grant stewardship and reporting

  • Maintain clarity and integrity between philanthropic engagement and the Foundation’s mission and priorities
External Representation & Opportunity Development (10%)
