What You\'ll Do

The Director, Delivery Excellence – Americas is a critical leadership role within the Services & Delivery organization, responsible for driving delivery quality, consistency, and customer success across SAP engagements in the Americas. This leader will act as a trusted advisor and quality authority across strategic programs, ensuring seamless delivery from pre-sales through go-live and beyond, aligned with SAP\'s cloud transformation strategy.

In this role, you will lead initiatives to improve delivery standards, promote methodology adoption, de-risk engagements, and guide key programs to successful outcomes. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners, acting as a change agent and value enabler across SAP\'s cloud services portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Governance & Quality Oversight
  • Lead delivery assurance across strategic programs and accounts, ensuring execution against SAP Activate and RISE methodologies
  • Own program governance reviews, quality gates, and risk mitigation plans for high-visibility engagements
  • Act as the regional SPOC for project quality escalation and recovery
  • Strategic Program Support
  • Oversee a portfolio of SAP cloud and hybrid projects across Professional Services, Premium Engagements, and Customer Success units
  • Drive consistency, early risk detection, and intervention across engagements
  • Partner with Services Sales and Delivery Executives to ensure projects align with customer business value and SAP success metrics
  • Methodology, Tools & Enablement
  • Champion the adoption of standardized tools (e.g., SAP Cloud ALM, Signavio, Solution Manager) and delivery frameworks
  • Lead enablement programs for project managers and delivery leaders on best practices, lessons learned, and quality standards
  • Promote delivery automation, reusable content, and process improvements
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers’ executive teams during transformation initiatives
  • Guide project teams, partners, and stakeholders through structured health checks, startup services, and quality reviews
  • Support bid reviews, pre-sales quality assessments, and onboarding of strategic opportunities
  • Drive delivery analytics, KPIs, and reporting transparency to improve forecast accuracy and risk posture
  • Lead retrospective and continuous improvement efforts to institutionalize best practices
  • Enable creation and promotion of customer references and success stories
What You Bring
  • Required Qualifications:
  • 10–15 years of SAP project and program management experience, including large-scale cloud implementations
  • Proven track record delivering SAP software in enterprise environments (e.g., Fortune 500)
  • Extensive experience with SAP Activate, RISE Delivery Methodology, and SAP Cloud ALM
  • Ability to manage and influence stakeholders across customer, partner, and internal SAP organizations
  • Demonstrated experience de-escalating troubled projects and ensuring delivery recovery
  • Excellent verbal, written, and executive presentation skills
  • High proficiency in project financials and delivery operations
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and change management capabilities
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field
  • Experience in major systems integrators at a Director or Partner level
  • Bilingual (English + Spanish or Portuguese) a plus for coverage of Latin America
  • Strong knowledge of SAP cloud offerings including S/4HANA, BTP, and SAP Industry Cloud
  • Results-oriented, with a focus on quality and customer success
  • Influential leadership style; leads by example and motivates cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, capable of operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

The targeted combined range for this position is 151,900 - 340,900 USD. The actual amount offered will depend on factors such as education, skills, experience, scope, location, and performance.
