Job summary

The University of Texas at Dallas seeks a Director of Business Intelligence and Data Visualization to lead the enterprise capability transforming institutional data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.

Reporting to the AVP for Institutional Strategy and Planning, the role designs executive dashboards, briefs, reports, and other decision-support products, coordinating with OISDS and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years progressive experience in institutional data analysis or BI.
• Experience developing executive-level data products for senior leadership.
• Ability to translate data into visual and narrative formats for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of data visualizations, dashboards, and decision-support tools.
• Collaborate with BI Analyst, Data Warehousing, and stakeholders across the university.
• Establish standards, templates, and best practices for high-quality data visualization and storytelling.
• Supervise and develop BI staff and coordinate multiple projects for timely delivery.
