Job summary

Capital One is seeking an Overview Director, Data Scientist to lead the External Data Strategy team and shape data initiatives across billions of records. You will partner with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver high-impact insights and scalable data pipelines.

You will develop deep subject matter expertise in consumer financial data, supervise a 10-15 person team, and translate technical work into strategic business goals while advancing cloud-based analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field plus years of analytics experience.
• Experience leveraging open-source languages for large-scale data analysis.
• Hands-on ML experience and relational database work.
• Experience in leadership and people management is preferred.

Responsibilities
