Job summary

Riot Platforms in the United States seeks a Director, Category Management – Data Center Electrical Infrastructure to lead global category strategy, strategic sourcing, and supplier development for mission-critical power distribution systems across HV, MV, and LV equipment.

You will manage multi-year capacity, align utility and engineering roadmaps, and establish resilient, cost-optimized supply chains to fuel rapid, hyper-scale data center expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, SCM, Business Administration or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive strategic sourcing and supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in data center electrical infrastructure.
• Strong fluency in data center electrical distribution architectures and supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year global category strategies for HV, MV, LV electrical commodities.
• Manage executive-level relationships with Tier-1 electrical OEMs and global manufacturers.
• Negotiate multi-year capacity reservation agreements and MSAs to mitigate long lead times.
• Partner with Data Center Electrical Engineering, Site Selection, Energy Strategy, and Construction teams.
• Mitigate single-point-of-failure risks and drive dual-sourcing and localization strategies.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and safety standards to inform leadership decisions.
