About the Role:

You will provide strategic and methodological leadership for integrating audit data, analytics, and artificial intelligence within the Dynamic Audit Solution (DAS). Serving as the primary subject matter expert, you will direct the design and implementation of audit analytics methodologies, driving forward the vision for data-enabled audits and strategic AI capabilities.

You will hold accountability for developing the application-wide data strategy, ensuring governance, compliance, and usability of audit data. You have recent experience working in a firm, with a focus on external audit data, analytics and AI tools.

Through methodology, software, and AI workstreams, you will reshape traditional auditing approaches through the use of data, analytics and technologies like AI. It promotes the incorporation of both financial and non-financial data, enhancing efficiency and audit quality through advanced analytics and machine learning.

The role must balance abstract thinking with rigorous adherence to existing auditing standards (US GAAS, PCAOB, ISAs). You will report to the Senior Director of DAS Suite Methodology. This role can work remotely in the US.

Responsibilities:
  • Create the strategic vision for Audit Data Analytics (ADA) within DAS, formulating multi-year roadmaps and translating strategic goals into relevant, milestone-driven implementation plans.
  • Provide leadership and oversight in the research and development of ADA content and methodologies integrated into DAS and related Association products, tools, and learning materials.
  • Ensure analytics solutions align with current auditing standards.
  • Direct the strategy and oversee the implementation of AI and machine learning programs within DAS.
  • Be a strategic advisor on member and customer needs, providing expert technical review and guidance.
  • Oversee a comprehensive data governance program across the DAS Suite, to include the definition of standards, policies, and quality controls to maintain data integrity and reliability for auditors.
  • Be the primary spokesperson for audit data analytics for DAS with internal and external partners.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in public accounting, financial analytics, audit strategy, or related roles
  • Knowledge of the accounting profession, financial reporting, audit methodologies, and data analytics.
  • Experience with ERP and accounting systems to analyze financial and operational data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
