Job description

Who We Are

FTI Consulting is the leading global expert firm for organizations facing crisis and transformation. We work with many of the world's top multinational corporations, law firms, banks and private equity firms on their most important issues to deliver impact that makes a difference. From resolving disputes, navigating crises, managing risk and optimizing performance, our teams respond rapidly to dynamic and complex situations.

At FTI Consulting, you'll work side-by side with leaders who have shaped history, helping solve the biggest challenges making headlines today. From day one, you'll be an integral part of a focused team where you can make a real impact. You'll be surrounded by an open, collaborative culture that embraces diversity, recognition, professional development and, most importantly, you.

Are you ready to make your impact?

About The Role

We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of cybersecurity and privacy consulting that leverages our integrated suite of services, spanning privacy program development and management, regulatory readiness and compliance, data protection assessments, privacy technology implementation, and data governance, across all major markets around the world. Our team works at the intersection of privacy and technology, advising clients on complex regulatory landscapes while delivering hands‑on, practical solutions.

We are looking for a Director to join our Privacy team within the Cybersecurity practice in a hands‑on delivery and project management role. You will execute privacy consulting and advisory engagements supporting risk assessments, regulatory readiness and compliance, data governance, program and policy development, and the configuration and implementation of privacy management platforms. You will manage day‑to‑day activities for assigned workstreams and client relationships under the supervision of senior engagement leaders. You will also be expected to manage and coach junior team members.

The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with a practical, problem‑solving mindset and the flexibility to work across diverse industries and subject areas, including emerging privacy technologies such as Data Inventory and Mapping solutions, Consent Management Platforms, and Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) systems. This role emphasizes doing the work: conducting assessments, configuring privacy tools, analyzing findings, and preparing client‑ready deliverables. It requires strong organizational and project management skills, applied privacy knowledge, and technical curiosity. You should be comfortable independently completing agreed‑upon tasks, coordinating defined workstreams, and communicating directly with clients, with regular guidance and review from senior engagement leaders.

What You'll Do

In this role, the Director will execute client work and manage defined workstreams at the intersection of privacy, cybersecurity, and technology. You will contribute directly to project deliverables and support internal initiatives. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  • Perform hands‑on configuration and implementation of privacy management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, Ketch) to support the deployment of client‑facing privacy program solutions, including Data Inventory and Data Mapping, Consent Management Platforms (CMP), Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) workflows, vendor and Third‑Party Risk Management portals, and privacy notice and policy management tools;
  • Prepare client materials (e.g., strategic memos, project status updates, privacy assessments, presentations, policy and procedure documents, gap analysis reports, regulatory or compliance updates, and external and internal communications content) in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Develop recommendations on consent models for website tracking technologies across websites and mobile applications; perform website scans, analyze findings, and help configure and roll out consent management tools and practical technical measures to support consent and preference management obligations;
  • Manage assigned workstreams and day‑to‑day client communications, including coordinating meetings, reporting progress, and following up on action items; provide task‑level guidance and initial review of junior team members' work;
  • Track workstream timelines, resource needs, and budget usage, and flag variances or delivery risks to senior engagement leaders to support resource allocation and project financial management;
  • Contribute to business development through proposal development, thought leadership, and the creation of standardized methodologies and reusable work products; and
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving privacy regulations to continuously enhance the quality and relevance of client solutions.
