Job summary

Target is seeking a Director of Cyber Threat Intelligence to lead a team of cyber threat analysts and drive strategic analysis of key threats. You will prioritize threats, advise senior leaders on risk, and align CTI initiatives with enterprise objectives.

You will develop and mentor a multifunctional cybersecurity team, coordinate with security engineering and risk teams, and evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen our defenses across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Expert knowledge of the cyber threat landscape and ability to communicate threats to senior leadership.
• Deep knowledge of tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with malicious cyber activity and threat actors.
• Experience with establishing collection, analyzing, and actioning Threat Intelligence.
• Ability to apply Threat Intelligence through enrichment, correlation, and attribution.
• Strong experience with offensive security tactics, techniques, and procedures (DDoS, Malware, Phishing, Vulnerabilities).
• Experience with Threat Intelligence tools such as Passive DNS, Malware research / Virus Total Intelligence, URLScan.
• Deep familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Experience with threat intelligence vendors and platforms.
• Proven ability to lead and grow a multifunctional cybersecurity organization.
• Coaching and mentoring to develop others.
• Ability to persuade across teams.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Broad knowledge of business, IT, cybersecurity technologies and approaches.

Responsibilities

• Maintain industry expertise of the current cyber threat landscape.
• Advise senior leaders on threats, trends, technology, information security issues and policy.
• Align initiatives with business objectives and provide support to enterprise projects.
• Lead and develop a team of tactical cyber-threat analysts.
• Represent CTI in planning, development, implementation and problem resolution.
• Develop or guide lightweight engineering solutions to improve intelligence collection, enrichment, analysis, correlation, and dissemination.
• Automate repetitive intelligence processes and enable analysts to focus on higher-value analytic activities.
• Integrate internal security telemetry with external threat intelligence to improve contextualization and prioritization.
• Partner with security engineering and platform teams to develop sustainable integrations between CTI platforms and technologies.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI/ML, to improve intelligence collection and analysis.
• Align with VP/SVP levels regarding information security and compliance risks.
• Participate in annual planning for technology and business activities.
• Maintain awareness of technological trends to bring solutions to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.
