Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Director of Security Operations & Detection Engineering to lead and unify D&R and SOC across Onboard, Cloud, and Enterprise environments. You will own strategy, roadmap, and operating rigor, building a multi-team organization and serving as executive contact for security incidents and audits.

You will manage 24x7 staffing, define KPIs, and steer prioritization for detection tooling and security architecture, including SIEM, EDR, NDR, and SOAR within a Hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including leadership of detection engineering and security ops teams.
• Hands-on experience with detection engineering, threat hunting, or incident response.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR, NDR/SOAR and cloud/enterprise security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end leadership of D&R and SOC teams across detection engineering, incident response, and 24x7 monitoring.
• Define multi-year strategy and roadmap for detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response, and security operations.
• Oversee incident response posture from detection to containment, and report to executives.
