JOB DESCRIPTION

The Big Ten Network is seeking a Director, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for B1G+. B1G+ is the network's direct-to-consumer subscription service offering thousands of live non-televised games, next-day on-demand replays, 18 school channels broadcast 24/7, and access to the Big Ten Network's library of previous seasons' classics and original programming. The role will focus on driving subscription growth, managing the subscriber lifecycle, and executing email, mobile campaigns, and innovative direct-to-consumer marketing strategies. The position reports to the Vice President, Digital.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop strategies to engage prospects and subscribers via CRM channels, focusing on conversion and retention.
  • Set goals that measure CRM impact, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Integrate data, customer strategy, content creation, technology, and analytics to enhance engagement and business results.
  • Collaborate with marketing, production, legal, athletic departments, and other stakeholders, acting as the decision-maker for CRM-related initiatives.
  • Become a systems expert in marketing technology stacks like Braze, Cleeng, and Sportradar, and leverage these tools for targeting, automation, and decision-making.
  • Manage vendor relationships and prioritize requirements effectively.
  • Lead and mentor the CRM team to develop industry-leading practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of experience in CRM, marketing, or digital/social media.
  • Strong communication skills to influence teams and executives.
  • Knowledge of current digital CRM marketing trends and tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with roadmap development and management.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems, especially Braze, is highly preferred.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Understanding of the B1G+ product, including StudentU.
  • Knowledge of how Big Ten fans consume content across devices.
  • Extensive knowledge of Big Ten athletics.

The pay range for this role is $143,000 - $170,000 annually, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. The position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits as per company policies. Benefits for union-represented employees will adhere to the collective bargaining agreement.
