Job Description :

Summary
The Director of Customer Logistics is responsible for operations management, safety, financial, and customer relations for one or more customers with multiple warehouse locations. This role ensures LEAN and Continuous Improvement deployment for assigned accounts, expands business with current customers, and participates in business development activities. The position manages $50M in operating revenue across multiple logistics/warehouse operations and may include responsibilities in transportation, packaging, and reverse logistics. The Director leads, guides, trains, and directs location managers.

Essential Functions
  1. Build and maintain relationships with customers at regional or corporate levels, representing Ryder in meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
  2. Forecast, plan, manage, and ensure accounts meet financial targets; develop mitigation plans as needed.
  3. Manage operations to meet or exceed KPIs; lead during peak seasons and special projects.
  4. Identify expansion opportunities; participate in business development and startup activities for new customers.
  5. Monitor and uphold safety culture meeting safety targets.
  6. Oversee deployment of Ryder's Lean Principles and foster continuous improvement.
  7. Hire, train, guide, and supervise Group Logistics Managers to meet account requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years in logistics/supply chain across multiple locations.
  • At least 5 years developing and implementing logistics solutions and managing projects.
  • At least 6 years managing and developing teams and managing large multi-level teams.
  • Minimum 5 years P&L responsibility, including financial forecasting.
  • LEAN work environment experience preferred.
  • Experience managing customer KPIs and relationships for at least 4 years.
  • Customer and senior management presentation experience preferred.
Additional Information

DOT Regulated: No

Travel: Up to 60%, primarily Midwest.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $125,000 - $155,000. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, paid time off, and 401(k). The position may be eligible for bonuses and incentives.
