Job summary

AMD is seeking a driven leader to drive the Adaptive & Embedded Computing Group’s business development and custom solutions initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams, shape proposals, and engage executive stakeholders to win high-value custom ASIC/SoC/FPGAs opportunities.

The role requires deep technical and financial acumen to develop compelling business cases, manage complex engagements, and align with AMD’s strategic roadmap in embedded markets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in semiconductor business development and custom ASIC solutions.
• Strong technical understanding of chip architecture, IP, packaging, and design ecosystems.
• Expertise in managing large-scale customer engagements and executive relationships.
• Ability to develop strategic business plans and financial models.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Deal Pursuit: target high-value custom opportunities and manage the large-deal process.
• Technical Solution Development: define scope with architects and cost estimates for proposals.
• Customer & Executive Engagement: organize strategy workshops and maintain relationships.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: align with product planning and partner ecosystems.
• Project & Financial Management: oversee cost, pricing models, and schedules.
• Marketing & Business Planning: craft marketing materials and a 5-year growth plan.
