The position is based in NYC with hybrid work (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and offers a salary in the $250,000–$320,000 range plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to make credit risk decisions with incomplete information but sound judgments.

• Ability to assess a diverse range of counterparties and credit scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage credit decisions and rating assessments.
• Risk manage a portfolio of counterparties and exposures with early detection of deterioration, including stress testing.
• Collaborate with business teams to promote revenue growth while protecting against downside risks.
• Lead deal screening and due diligence of sponsors, borrowers and transactions; influence deal structuring to uphold underwriting standards.
• Present portfolio and industry reviews with senior stakeholders and risk partners.
• Design, maintain and communicate risk control parameters to align with risk appetite.

Job description

My key sell side client is seeking a Director - Credit Risk - Data Centers.

Location: NYC (Midtown)

Salary: $250,000 - $320,000 + bonus and benefits

Hybrid: x3 days in office x2 days remote

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage credit decisions and rating assessments using subject-matter expertise
• Risk manage a portfolio of counterparties and exposures with early-stage detection of credit deterioration, which includes stress testing.
• Collaborate with the Bank’s business teams to promote revenue growth whilst protecting against the downside risks through identification, investigation, mitigation and management of risks.
• Lead the engagement in early-stage deal screening and due diligence of new sponsors, borrowers and transactions, with the ability to analyze complex situations to find solutions. The candidate will further influence deal structuring for best-in-class underwriting standards.
• Present periodic portfolio and industry reviews with senior stakeholders and senior Risk partners.
• Lead the Design, maintain and effectively communicate risk control parameters to maintain the risk profile in line with the Group’s risk appetite.

Skills And Experience

• Commercial Real Estate and Project Finance and Data Centers
• Make credit risk decisions / recommendations with semi-complete information, but sufficient to form a sound, well-grounded credit view, in a compressed time schedule.
• Lead engagement with borrowers and sponsors.
• Experienced stakeholder management and ability to express and communicate a credit opinion.
• Strong understanding of creditor documentation.
• Confident in assessing a diverse range of counterparties, asset classes, hedging products and credit scenarios.
