As the Director, Credentialing Professional Development, you will oversee the credentialing processes for individuals pursuing IFMA facility management credentials, ensuring that all stakeholders meet the requirements for credential attainment. Your role will involve managing and maintaining compliance with credentialing standards, streamlining processes, and supporting candidates throughout their certification journey.

To be successful, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; 7+ years in credentialing (preferably in a trade association or nonprofit) with 5+ years of managerial experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and databases; ability to analyze complex data and interpret technical documents.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills; ability to draft reports, interpret legal/technical materials, and engage with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop credential programs, and navigate complex challenges with strategic thinking.
  • Adept at managing stakeholder expectations, resolving issues efficiently, and fostering collaboration within teams.

Your responsibilities as the Director, Credentialing Professional Development include:

  • Drive credential growth, manage credentialing staff, oversee certification exam development, and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, conduct audits, enforce exam security, and implement process improvements.
  • Serve as the primary resource for credentialing issues, resolve escalations, and enhance communication strategies.
  • Oversee credentialing database accuracy, analyze data trends, and optimize reporting.
  • Develop and manage budgets, oversee vendor relationships, and improve credentialing platform efficiencies.
