The Director for Global Public and Government Affairs (PGA) will work with the Vice President for Global PGA to:

  • Advance Mondelēz’s purpose and positions through engagement with policymakers and influencers,
  • Shape government measures using sound science and evidence, and
  • Enhance the company's reputation and its categories and brands.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the company’s global PGA strategic plan.
  • Analyze political, geopolitical, and macroeconomic developments to anticipate government policy directions affecting Mondelēz.
  • Set advocacy priorities based on the impact of laws and regulations.
  • Establish the company’s global position on relevant government measures.
  • Drive internal operational changes responding to public policy issues.
  • Coordinate economic value contributions through advocacy efforts.
  • Oversee implementation of Mondelēz’s global advocacy strategy on health and well-being measures and track progress indicators.

Support local CGA teams’ advocacy efforts by:

  • Providing leadership to the Global PGA Community of Practice,
  • Developing and sharing multimarket PGA projects and assets.

Shape government measures by engaging policymakers, including:

  • Executives, legislators, international organization officials, and think tank leaders.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to internal teams and enhance visibility through participation in trade associations and coalitions.

Experience, Skills, And Competencies

  • Minimum 14 years in government/public sector and/or private sector government affairs.
  • Graduate degree in international relations, business, law, nutrition, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of food industry policy issues, including nutrition, sustainability, and trade.
  • Proven ability to influence government initiatives and measures.
  • Strong project leadership and results delivery skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience engaging with senior leaders and policy influencers.
  • Proactive, independent, resourceful, and capable of working in fast-paced environments.
  • Collaborative with cross-cultural teams.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and creative approaches.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

The salary range for this role is $141,000 to $246,750, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, wellness programs, retirement plans, paid leave, and relocation support.
