This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Corporate Strategy based in the United States.

The Director, Corporate Strategy will help shape the long-term growth agenda of a major technology business operating at the intersection of AI infrastructure, cloud computing, and advanced hardware systems. Working closely with senior executives, this role will identify strategic opportunities, assess evolving markets, and translate insights into actionable business priorities and investment decisions. You will lead complex initiatives from initial analysis through executive decision-making and implementation, while connecting organic growth strategies with acquisitions, partnerships, and investments. Combining deep analytical expertise with executive influence, you will help the organization navigate a rapidly evolving technology landscape. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity to drive profitable growth, strengthen strategic capabilities, and develop high‑performing teams.

Accountabilities
  • Shape and continuously refine the business's long‑term growth strategy, identifying priority markets, customer segments, capabilities, and investment opportunities.
  • Translate strategic insights into portfolio decisions, investment priorities, and multiyear growth plans.
  • Evaluate new markets, business adjacencies, and business models through customer research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and market assessments.
  • Analyze developments in AI infrastructure, compute, networking, storage, and rack‑scale systems, translating technology trends into strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and business leaders to assess customer needs, technology roadmaps, and competitive positioning.
  • Partner with Corporate Development and Investments teams on acquisitions, partnerships, and investment opportunities, including strategic rationale, due diligence, and build‑versus‑buy‑versus‑partner assessments.
  • Lead high‑priority strategic initiatives, aligning stakeholders, securing decisions, defining accountable owners, and tracking implementation milestones.
  • Connect strategic priorities with annual planning processes and measurable business outcomes.
  • Prepare clear recommendations, executive presentations, and materials for senior leadership and Board‑level discussions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop strategy colleagues and cross‑functional project teams while maintaining high standards of analytical rigor.
  • Strengthen the team's market intelligence, strategy methodologies, and internal use of AI tools.
Requirements
  • 12–15+ years of total professional experience, including at least 10 years in top‑tier management consulting, corporate strategy, or closely related strategic roles.
  • Proven experience independently leading complex strategy engagements, managing multiple workstreams, and exercising sound judgment in large technology businesses or similarly complex environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn strategic recommendations into implemented business decisions, such as market entry strategies, investment priorities, portfolio changes, partnerships, or operating‑model transformations.
  • Relevant technology‑sector experience and strong understanding of AI and cloud infrastructure economics.
  • Ability to connect trends across compute, networking, storage, and hardware systems with customer value, competitive advantage, and business strategy.
  • Experience with market research, financial modeling, business cases, unit economics, market attractiveness assessments, and investment trade‑offs under uncertainty.
  • Exposure to hyperscaler and AI infrastructure ecosystems, customer co‑design, hardware platform engineering, or advanced manufacturing is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong executive presence and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders and preparing executive or Board‑level materials.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical, financial, and market insights through concise, actionable recommendations.
  • Confidence in challenging assumptions respectfully, offering independent perspectives, and adapting recommendations as evidence evolves.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to mobilize teams across functions and geographies without relying on direct reporting authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop others while remaining actively involved in analysis, problem‑solving, and project delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related analytical or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • MBA or another relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Willingness to undertake frequent overnight travel as required and flexibility to accommodate demanding periods and extended working hours.
Benefits
  • Annual salary range of USD $189,872–$297,014, subject to experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
  • Remote work arrangement for U.S.-based employees.
  • Opportunity to influence corporate strategy and growth priorities in the rapidly expanding AI and cloud infrastructure sectors.
  • Senior-level exposure and collaboration with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • Opportunity to lead strategic initiatives and develop high‑performing strategy talent.
