Position Summary

Our Sam’s Club Accounting and Controls Team within Global Controllership plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our segment and enterprise financial statements. About the Team

The Sam’s Club Accounting and Controls Team is responsible for overseeing segment accounting, controls, and reporting. We execute accounting processes, provide business decision support aligned with reporting requirements, and drive process improvements as the business grows and transforms. Our work maintains the financial integrity of the company and supports its long-term success.

Responsibilities
  • Support monthly close process for supply chain and eCommerce.
  • Understand end-to-end processes for areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor reconciliation between supply chain systems, including unit quantities and PO costing.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes and collaborate with shared services providers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business, technology, and finance partners, explaining financial impacts of business activities.
  • Support new supply chain and eCommerce initiatives, including system conversions, implementations, and infrastructure build.
  • Ensure supply chain internal controls are effective as strategies evolve.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Digital skills and quick learning ability for new systems.
