Job summary

The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) seeks a Director of Continuing & Professional Education to shape strategy for its educational portfolio. This remote role with occasional travel will oversee LMS, grants, digital learning, and conferences, ensuring alignment with mission and growth.

Candidates should have at least 10 years in a similar role, CME/ACCME accreditation experience, instructional design expertise, and a proven record in healthcare education and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years in a similar role with advanced subject matter expertise.
• Experience in CME, instructional design, adult learning theory, curriculum design, educational research methods, program evaluation, and ACCME accreditation.
• Experience in healthcare education.
• Experience leading a team in an association management setting.
• Knowledge of key programmatic, operational, and financial issues and priorities.
• Proven success forming and maintaining external partnerships and networks and volunteer management experience.
• Familiarity with MOC, CME, ACCME Policies and Standards, PhRMA guidelines and Physician Payment Sunshine Act.

Responsibilities

• Shape the direction of AASLD’s educational portfolio and strategy.
• Oversee LMS, education grants, digital learning products, and conferences.
• Lead program design and evaluation using instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Manage vendor relationships, workflows, and day-to-day operations.
• Directly supervise four staff and report to the VP of Education & Professional Development.
