Snap Inc. is seeking a Director of ML to lead the Content Machine Learning Engineering team. The role sets multi-year ML strategy for recommendation/ranking, content understanding, production reliability, and experimentation, while managing and developing managers and linking model investments to business results.

You will oversee Content ML teams across Seattle, LA, SF, Palo Alto, and NY, shaping goals and the roadmap while collaborating with executives, finance, product, and engineering.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent practical work experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience post-Bachelor’s; or a Master’s degree + 9+ years; or PhD + 6+ years.
• 5+ years of experience leading a large team at scale and driving efficiency.

Aufgaben

• Support teams solving technical challenges and build world-class experiences in Snapchat for over 450 million daily users.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of Content ML teams across multiple offices (Seattle, LA, SF, Palo Alto, NY).
• Develop organizational goals and drive the engineering team's technical/organizational roadmap.
• Collaborate with Executives, Finance, Product, and Engineering to deliver high-quality products.
• Influence decisions on architecture for scalable, reliable, cost-effective solutions.
• Build and scale high-performing teams and mentor engineering managers, directors, and senior ICs.
