The Director, Content and Strategy, High School Segment supports our high school segment, which provides test prep and college and career readiness solutions for AP, ACT, SAT, and related programs. This role involves content development, product marketing, and project management to create, position, and execute high-quality educational content and resources. Collaboration with sales, technology, operations, and marketing teams is essential for the success of our high school products.
Primary Responsibilities
Content Development & Management:
- Develop and oversee multi-modal educational content for AP, ACT, SAT, and college and career readiness products used by high school students and educators.
- Edit and improve content created by authors and subject matter experts to ensure clarity, engagement, and pedagogical alignment.
- Collaborate with instructional designers, educators, and multimedia teams to create interactive digital learning experiences.
- Utilize market research and feedback to enhance content and inform development decisions.
Sales (Go-To-Market) Strategy & Support:
- Partner with sales and marketing to craft messaging, collateral, and positioning that appeal to high school educators and administrators.
- Train internal teams on product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
- Support product launches, sales enablement, and educator engagement strategies.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with segment goals.
- Maintain clear communication throughout product lifecycle to ensure alignment and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and efficiency.
- Assist in testing product plans and analyzing results for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, English, or related field
- 5+ years in content development, product marketing, or project management in educational publishing, EdTech, or test prep
- Experience developing print and digital educational content, especially for high school test prep or college readiness
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and data-driven content decisions
- Extensive experience in education systems and schools
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in curriculum development or instructional design
- Experience in B2B EdTech marketing or sales enablement
- Knowledge of high school curriculum standards and testing requirements
