Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Position Overview: As the Director of Consumer Public Relations, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of strategic PR campaigns for consumer clients. You will lead a team of PR professionals, manage client relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality results that align with clients' business objectives. This is a hybrid role, requiring you to be onsite in the NYC office 2 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies for consumer brands, ensuring alignment with client goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of PR professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring their satisfaction with services.
  • Oversee the creation of press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials, ensuring they are compelling, accurate, and aligned with brand messaging.
  • Manage media relations, securing coverage in top-tier consumer and lifestyle publications, both online and offline.
  • Monitor and analyze PR campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in PR, and apply this knowledge to enhance service offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in consumer PR, with a proven track record of leading successful campaigns and managing client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
  • Extensive media relations experience, with established contacts in the consumer and lifestyle media space.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
