Rate is building the Analytics Intelligence Layer (RAIL) for smarter lending. We seek a senior analytics leader to shape strategy, set standards, and lead a small team while delivering high-impact solutions with senior leaders across Product, Technology, Marketing, Operations, Risk, and Lending.

This player-coach role emphasizes building trusted data products and scalable analytics capabilities, establishing engineering standards, and translating business opportunities into measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in analytics, analytics engineering, data science, analytic product development, BI, or related field.
• Experience building modern analytics capabilities—not simply maintaining existing environments.
• Strong technical fluency with SQL, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, cloud platforms, APIs, and modern analytics tools.
• The ability to connect technical work to measurable business outcomes.
• Experience influencing senior business leaders and driving cross-functional execution.
• A builder's mindset with a bias toward action.

The Role

We're looking for a senior analytics leader to help build RAIL from the ground up. This is a true player-coach role. You'll help shape the strategy, establish standards, lead a small team, and remain hands-on delivering high-impact solutions. You'll work directly with senior leaders across Product, Technology, Marketing, Operations, Risk, and Consumer Lending.

We're hiring leaders with strengths in one of two complementary disciplines:

• Build trusted data products, reusable datasets, enterprise metrics, and scalable analytics capabilities.
• Establish engineering standards, analytical architecture, and modern development practices.

Analytics Product Development

• Transform analytical capabilities into business solutions that improve customer experiences, decision-making, operations, and revenue.
• Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities and bring analytical products into production.

What You'll Bring

• 10+ years of experience in analytics, analytics engineering, data science, analytical product development, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience building modern analytics capabilities—not simply maintaining existing environments.
• Strong technical fluency with SQL, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, cloud platforms, APIs, and modern analytics tools.
• The ability to connect technical work to measurable business outcomes.
• Experience influencing senior business leaders and driving cross-functional execution.
• A builder's mindset with a bias toward action.

Experience in consumer lending or financial services is a plus, but not required.

AI at Rate

Education

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, analytical, or business discipline (or equivalent experience). Advanced degree is a plus.
