Job description

At Rate, we’re not looking for someone to just “grow the business.” We’re looking for the kind of leader who wakes up in the morning already thinking about how to make a difference. You see opportunity where others see closed doors. You build relationships the way others build spreadsheets—naturally, consistently, and with an eye on the long game.

This role isn’t about playing defense—it’s about going on offense. We want someone who can spot whitespace in the market, move fast, and inspire teams to follow that energy. If you’ve ever been told you’re “too entrepreneurial” for a traditional corporate role, you’ll probably fit right in here.

At Rate, we’ve built one of the nation’s largest lending platforms, but we’re just getting started. Our platform, technology, and reach give us unfair advantages—and you’ll be the one leveraging them to unlock growth channels we haven’t even imagined yet.

What you’ll actually do:

You’ll create strategy, but more importantly, you’ll execute it. You’ll design bold partnerships and business models, then walk into rooms and win the buy-in to make them real. You’ll rally teams, energize leaders, and push marketing into overdrive to make sure growth isn’t just a goal—it’s the air we breathe.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of building revenue, not just managing it—5+ years leading business development, partnerships, or growth at scale.
  • Comfort with ambiguity—you thrive in environments where you’re not relying on the playbook, you focus on end results and doing what it takes to achieve success.
  • The ability to sell ideas as easily as deals—you can inspire internally as well as close externally.
  • Fluency in the fintech or financial services world is a huge plus, but raw hustle and the ability to learn fast matter just as much.
  • Leadership that’s more magnetic than managerial—you attract people to your vision and make them believe.

This isn’t a job for someone looking to “manage accounts.” This is for someone who wants to leave fingerprints all over the future of Rate.

If building something that redefines financial services sounds like your kind of challenge, let’s talk.

Applications are accepted for the next 30 days.

The company offers a comprehensive benefits program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; critical care insurance; personal accidental insurance; commuter benefits; pet insurance; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program); and other supplemental benefits (e.g. legal planning assistance; identity theft protection; pet insurance; wellness resources).
